Handelaar Challenge

HANDELAAR -- John Handelaar thinks the subtle yet constant bombardment of American television programming has resulted in viewers picking up the words to the American national anthem.

Handelaar makes his point:

You have a national anthem which people in other countries know the words to. Those people in other countries don’t know the words to the national anthem of any other foreign country.

And you don’t know the words to the national anthem of any other country. Hell, most of you don’t know your own.

Handelaar wonders whether a class could figure out most of the words of the American national anthem. I think we'll try our hand at it, maybe record the results like "Perfect Day" was done a few years ago.
