OSSIDIAN -- The educational publisher talks to The Sunday Times about becoming the IT equivalent of Time magazine. Eamon O Doherty, the MD, wants his company to build a vast base of customers and watch automatic renewals come rolling in the door.

To achieve this, he has to expand his library of offerings. Each modules costs nearly €30,000 to develop and to triple the size of his current 40-module archive, he needs €2m in development. That's a big funding challenge. "The challenge with pubilshers is moving beyond the Chablis and lunch stage. Invariablyh, the lunch is very expensive and then they don't return your calls the next day."
